WebHistory. Northeastern began play in 1966. They formerly played in the America East Conference (formerly known as the Seaboard Conference) until 2005. They participated in seven of the first 15 America East Conference women's basketball tournament finals, winning four of them, though only the last one resulted in an NCAA bid. WebEastern Sprints. Tools. A race of the 2016 regatta. The Eastern Sprints is the annual rowing championship for the men's Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC). (Since 1974, the "Women's Eastern Sprints" has been held as the annual championship for the Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges (EAWRC) league.)
